Just be yourself today

Scott Walker December 18, 2017

Be yourself, regardless of who others believe you should be.

Perhaps you're a dreamer? So dream.
Maybe you are a doer? Go and do.
Are you a fixer? Start fixing.

Be yourself.

"Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind." —Dr. Seuss

The Escape

Scott Walker December 18, 2017

I took this photo in 2014 and it remains one of my favorites.

The look in his eyes is of a faraway place that I cannot relate. His appearance is scattered as are his thoughts.

He stood outside of a downtown Nashville skyscraper at midnight and he told me that we were standing in a desert.

His sandy blonde hair floated in the breeze as he went on to tell me about his spaceship and then pointed to the window of a nearby business. Inside was a computer that had a screen saver of a commercial jet on it. He said that was his spaceship.

“This is a man in need. His fear is naked and obvious, but he's lost. . . Somewhere in his darkness. His eyes wide and bleak and tortured.” ― E.L. James

Paper's to be sold today

Scott Walker November 1, 2016

He sells papers in downtown Nashville and makes enough to afford a place to stay. He is well organized and determined to live a better life.

"I never could have done what I have done without the habits of punctuality, order, and diligence, without the determination to concentrate myself on one subject at a time." - Charles Dickens (1812-1870)

The Gangrel

Scott Walker May 28, 2016

Interesting faces make for interesting photos.

Meet Gangrel. The 47 year old Florida native and pro wrestler was in the WWF in 1995 and later from 1998 to 2001. In 1999 they made a WWF action figure in his likeness. How many people have you met in real life that have their own action figure?

His real name is David Heath and he has two children. I know what you’re thinking, he looks as if he would have eaten them by now. But, I have to say in reality he seemed to be a pretty nice fella.

In high school Heath was said to be a top notch football player. A serious neck injury closed out the football days early. It was thought that he would never be able to continue his love for sports, but after much rehab he was able to move on. In 1988, he debuted as a wrestler.

Heath has appeared in multiple wrestling themed movies over the years and has even been in TV series. Some of the more recent TV shows you may remember him in include Cougar Town and Star Trek: Renegades (both from 2014).

Today, Gangrel the Vampire lives in California home.
