Dog Day at Hippie Hill

Scott Walker July 29, 2016

Today I got to head out to Hippie Hill with the Beesley Animal Clinic to vaccinate the dogs on the 40+ acre site. This was our 12 month follow up visit to re-vaccinate and provide tags for the animals at the hill, free of charge. The owners were very appreciative of the service.

When I think of Hippie Hill, I think of individual freedom to be yourself.

Free Rabies Shots and More

Scott Walker March 5, 2016

I was fortunate enough to go out with Beesley Animal Clinic in Murfreesboro again on Friday. We randomly knocked on doors in local trailer parks to see who needed a rabies vaccination for their dog or cat. A local vet then gave the shots for free.

I love doing that. The anticipation of who is going to open the door and what their story maybe fascinates me for some reason. I find it interesting.

The love for my dog

Scott Walker February 6, 2016

She is a widow who quietly lives in her small home with her favorite companion, her 7 year old dog.  I met her when I went out with the folks from Beesley Animal Clinic in Murfreesboro while they vaccinated cats and dogs that belong to those who are on fixed incomes in our community.

Giving vaccinations to animals in need

Scott Walker August 8, 2015

I had the privilege of showing Dr. Kathryn Mcpherson (Veterinarian) and Amanda Oliver (Director of the Beesley Animal Foundation) around so that they could visit with the homeless and vaccinate their beloved animals. Otherwise, these dogs and cats would possibly go undeserved as most homeless can not afford basic rabies shots.

In this photo, this young lady (right) became homeless on the night of her high school prom. She was 18 and her mother died of cancer. From that night on, she had no where to go but the streets. Her father died of cancer in 1994 and her mother passed away in 1997.
