To the right of the plane is my friend Justin, snapping a photo similar to what you see here. He is also using a Fuji.

The Last Flight

Scott Walker January 12, 2014

You don't see this everyday.

This commercial airplane was purchased by a company that aimed to turn them into homes, but went bankrupt. The company was located in Tennessee. This photo is a surviving 727 model that was never turned into a residence. It was used as a cargo plane up until it took its last flight in year 2000.

Speeding forward to this photo, a man from East TN bought this plane and tore it down for scrap metal. He is keeping the cool pieces from within the structure and will use those in his home that sits on a mountain top. For example, he will use the curved passenger windows to make the roof of his greenhouse.

Shot with a Fuji X-Pro1.
