Blue Skies and the Colors of Cuba

Scott Walker September 4, 2018

Every once in a while I came across that picture perfect setting that highlighted what Havana, Cuba once looked like in the 1940's. It was like a clash of beautiful beach colors that begged for you to move closer and perhaps even imagine the sounds around you being glorified by Bing Crosby and Fred Astaire.

"Not so far from here
There's a very lively atmosphere,
Everybody's going there this year,
And there's a reason,
The season opened last July,
Ever since the USA went dry,
Everybody's going there and I'm going too!
"

-Bing Crosby with Fred Astaire, CUBA, as heard in the 1946 movies "Blue Skies"
