I did it

Scott Walker February 19, 2014

"What's the key around your neck," I asked. She told me it was to her apartment. "I was homeless for two years and I was diagnosed with bi-polar disorder, but now I am on the right medication and I feel great... I am living on my own," she said. I asked, "What's next in life, what is your next goal." She told me she wanted a news apartment that was not in a community living setting, one that is in a regular apartment complex. My statement to her, "You can do it."

She then told me about her children. She is a very proud mom. She said her kids don't live in the same town, but they are doing great and are very successful. She even told me that one is a dentist. She was smiling as she talked.
