I tend to stay out of politics for the most part, but when you are capturing interesting pictures of people while doing street photography, you run across men and women in every line of work imaginable.
As I snapped this picture he asked, "Where are you from?" I responded, "Murfreesboro." He said, "Oh, I've met lots of great people from Murfreesboro while at the crafts fair (held in Centennial Park, Nashville)." I said, "Cool, what do you do?" He smiled, "I'm running for State Representative in the 51st District." I asked, "Where is that?" He said, "Hendersonville / Nashville area, my name is Joshua Rawlings."
This has nothing to do with Mr. Rawlings, but as I walked away I was reminded of a quote by the late President Ronald Reagan. "You can tell a lot about a fellow's character by his way of eating jellybeans." If I had a jellybean, I would have offered him one.
